An application submitted by the property owners, David and Catherine Navarro, to subdivide an existing 0.46-acre property into two parcels: Parcel 1 - 11,973 square feet (0.27 acres, existing home), Parcel 2 – 8,318 square feet (0.19-acres, vacant). Vacation Rental Ordinance 2020-103. Location: City-wide. Applicant: City of Big Bear Lake. Representative: Larry Vaupel, Director of Tourism Management. The proposed Development Code amendment provides for properties that were legally improved with gravel surface driveways and parking areas to maintain those improvements with gravel. References to transient private home rentals are being replaced with vacation rentals. A minimum parking requirement for residential uses operating a vacation rental is being proposed at a ratio of 1 space per bedroom, plus 1 additional space.
