Major Special Event 2022-016. The Big Bear Grill & Chill, KC Barbecue State Championship Competition and Craft Beer Festival is a sanctioned barbecue competition, and a barbecue food and craft beer festival including live music and family-friendly vendor booths and activities. This year’s event is planned on the Memorial Day holiday weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 27, 28 and 29, 2022, in the Bartlett Road public parking lot. Competitive cooking teams arrive Friday afternoon. On Saturday and Sunday, admission for VIP begins at 10 am, with general admission starting at 11 am. The event closes to the general public at 5 pm. New this year is expansion of the barbecue competition as a two-day event, and a planned live, outdoor music concert on Saturday from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Plot Plan Review 2022-014 - This application proposes modifications to an existing nonconforming residence. The project proposed a 2-story addition comprising 857 square feet, 226 square feet of new decks, and a 111 square foot laundry room. The applicant would also create a new parking area and convert an existing accessory storage structure into an accessory dwelling unit.
