Major Special Event 2021-027/MSE. Location: Big Bear Mountain & City Streets, 43101 Goldmine Drive; 0310-951-05. Applicant: Big Bear Cycling Association/Tour de Big Bear. Representative: Chris Barnes. Major Special Event application 2021-027, has been submitted requesting approval for the 2021 Tour de Big Bear. This is a valley-wide event with an estimated 2,500 participants and an estimated 9,000 attendees. Event setup will begin on Thursday, August 5, 2021 and clean-up will conclude on Sunday August 8, 2021. The day of the rides will occur on Saturday August 7, 2021. The event is relocating from the Village to Big Bear Mountain and Goldmine Drive. The Big Bear Mountain Parking lot will be available for vendor and participant parking as well as additional restrooms, stage, and a bike valet. A food and beer garden will be located on Bear Mountain's patio area. Goldmine Drive will be closed to all traffic and the start and finish line for the course along with an exposition area which will be in the public-right-of-way.
