Major Special Event – 2017-164/MSE. Location: 40870 Big Bear Boulevard & 40946 Big Bear Boulevard. APN: 0308-151-55, 309-011-29, 309-011-30. Applicant: Special Olympics of Southern California Inland Empire. Representative: Abbey Leffler. The applicant is requesting approval to hold the annual “Polar Plunge”, a fundraiser for the Southern California Special Olympics, on March 3, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Veterans’ Park. Staff recommends that the Planning Commission hold a public hearing and adopt the attached Resolution No. PC2017-XX finding the project categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and approving Major Special Event application 2017-164 based on the findings and subject to the conditions of approval contained in the attached Resolution.
